Essex Guild of Archery Coaches

Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance

Child Protection Guidance

All club Secretaries receive copies of the GNAS Policy on the Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults - it is now a requirement that all clubs appoint a Child Protection Officer. Such appointments should be recorded in the club minutes and GNAS informed of their identity. Child Protection Officers will need a GNAS CRB check if they are not a coach.

All GNAS Coaches are required to have submitted an Enhanced CRB form to GNAS and must complete a Sports Coach UK ratified Child Protection course.

Child protection courses

Since the introduction of the new upgraded course Child protection and vulnerable adults, GNAS or now Archery GB as we are now called, have stated that I can no longer present  these courses to you !!!!! a great shame, those of you who have already attended my courses are safe, but I am not allowed to do any more until Archery GB has decided WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. I have spoken to Sport Essex and they run a number of these courses, details of which can be found on the Sport Essex web site. Find the notice board section, on the left hand side click on courses, and the details will appear. Unfortunately you will have to pay for these. I am trying to get some form of subsidy and if successful will pass this to you.
